Night Vision

One silent night as I knelt to pray
A light shone around me, so beautiful was the presence
I looked to behold the face of my angel
He beckoned me to come and follow
He led me through the deep darkness of night
As we traveled, he explained to me the outcome of my prayers
We approached a room when he, my angel, bade me to listen
Sweet was the melody, so precious was the song
I stood there, transfixed by the sight, I watched in awe
So magnificent, so wonderful indeed to behold
Glorious, brilliant light flooded the room
In wonderful peace, and comfort you slept
My heart burned with heavenly joy as I watched
There Jesus held you close to His bosom
So tenderly He held you, so lovingly He beheld you
With a song of love flowing from His lips, He sang to you
So comforting was His presence, so wonderful indeed
As He laid you down, He whispered in your ear
His words of love, His song of gladness filled your soul
He rejoiced over you with unexplainable joy
Morning has broken, His presence withers not away
Slowly you awake, His love you do feel
His tender smile widens, His heart beats with excitement
As you knelt to welcome Him this glorious morn
My angel slowly guided me away from sight
In deep thoughts, I pondered the meaning of this dream
With encouraging words he spoke to me
The prayers I have prayed were heard and answered
I rejoice now for I understand the power of prayer
So valuable are the souls to Him
His children, His lambs indeed
He bids me not to forget His precious Jewels
My angel who visited me that dark night
As Jesus' presence filled your room
The longing to know the benefit of my prayers
He assured me I shall one day see you in the celestial courts above
